Grow. Nourish, and Sustain. Together.
The COVID-19 global health crisis has been a time to reflect on things we truly cherish and our most basic needs. These uncertain times have made us appreciate a thing that some take for granted and many go without: Food.
This World Food Day, let’s take a pledge to eat right and reduce wastage. Here are a few tips for healthy eating:
1. Eat according to your requirements.
Do not overeat. Keep a check on your portion sizes. This will help in improving your digestion, improve your metabolism, maintain your body weight, and reduce food waste.
2. Make your plate colorful.
Add a variety of vegetables and fruits which are seasonally available and locally grown.
3. Eat fresh.
Veggies and fruits are powerhouses of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.
4. Eat home-cooked food.
5. Eat a balanced meal including all food groups: grains, pulses, fruits, vegetables, and dairy.
