Food is powerful and women’s diet forms the very foundation of their mental and physical health. Eating right is an important part of our healthy diet that is what our moms do! She knows very well the food choices we make at an early age affect our health now and later in life! To avoid any health issues moms pester us to eat right and healthy from a very young age!
Healthy eating is the way of eating that improves your health and helps prevent diseases. A balanced meal means choosing foods from all food groups(cereals, pulses, vegetables, dairy, fruits. Let’s understand one thing women’s nutritional needs change as our bodies change during different stages of our lives. As young adults, we usually need more calories than when we were younger to support growth and growing bodies. At an older age especially during and after menopause there more chances of chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, blood pressure, osteoporosis, it is very important for us to talk to our doctor and nutritionist about healthy eating plans and whether our moms need more calcium and vitamins.
In this picture, MyThali contains a fantastic blend of all nutrients which provide a balance of carbs (Jowar roti), protein (dal and paneer), Fibre(veggies), vitamins and minerals (salad & no sugar) which creates a wholesome meal for my mom made specially for her by me on the occasion of women’s day! On this occasion, we would just want to say one thing “women are real architects of society”
