Digital Healthy School Program launched in Maharashtra & Goa

Posted on: September 16th, 2021 by Arogya World

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that our Digital Healthy School Program, already shown to be effective in establishing healthy habits in middle school children, and which was digitized during COVID times, is now being rolled out in all schools in the Thane district in Maharashtra state, and throughout the entire state of Goa. Kudos to Ashwini Thakker, our Mumbai-based Regional Director, who led the Arogya team in conversations with State Educational Authorities (SCERT) over the last several months. Dr. Amita Kshirsagar and others are training Government officials and cluster heads on implementation steps. This program will help us educate more than 100,000 6-8 grade children this first year.

This is a big win for Arogya’s school’s team and a big step forward in our Government interactions. Stay tuned for more news as we scale up this program, the first digital adolescent health program of its kind.
